Music | Tu Mun Shudi - A. R. Rahman & Rabbi

It is time for a music based illustration. After all, I have been hearing this song on loop for over 3 days now. I must have easily heard it for close to 50 times.

And why shouldn't I? Rahman and Rabbi have come together again after their average outing last time (Challa - Jab Tak Hai Jaan) which was surprisingly the only saving grace in the complete album. This time however, the composition is mind blowing and totally not the usual Rahman style. It was indeed a pleasant surprise! The lyrics, the beats, the rendition and the complete package is. so. GOOD. And I am not saying this because I am a Rahman fan but because it is truly awesome. You have to listen it to experience the magic. For those who don't understand Hindi, here is the translation shared by music addict DunkDaft - Tu Mun Shudi.

So you know the drill. Hear the song and while at it, look at the illustration. And let me know what you think. Works?

Here is the song:

And here is the illustration:
A closer look:
What do you think?  Okay? Bad? Good? Workable? Anything else? Do let me know! :)

  1. Hi! Tahira here :) I love the illustration. There so many things to see in it. So much structure that at first I didn't know where to look haha. I tried looking at it with the song playing, but I couldn't "connect" with it yet. Maybe I should listen to the song first and then listen again while staring at your art?

Either way, love the background colors too!

    1. Hey Tahira, thank you so much for dropping by!

I hope the structures did not confuse you. Also, many a times, you need to listen to the song once before looking at the illustration, let me know if that helps :)

      Again, thank you so much!

  2. Hi ! i am first time visiting your blog and it felt so good to read your posts. I am not a big fan of bollywood music of late because you know, how appaling their songs have become, but this one, as you wrote, was marvellous! The illustration, of course, is super marvellous :D
