Touch

Gleam sparkling in his eyes,

mischievous smirk on his face;

Wild thoughts flashing in his mind,

as the flakes of snow touched…

He remembered the day,

way back in memory lane;

Her contagious laugh,

and her feathery wild touch…

The slippery garden floor,

right to the community hall;

The stolen moments,

and the chilling breeze’s touch…

The loud honking,

the sudden commotion;

The hard thud,

when the car touched her…

The loss of light,

the dawn of darkness;

Slow rise of vaccum,

touched his heart…

Back in same place,

among the same flakes;

at the very place,

when life touched love…

Wearing his glasses,

holding his stick;

asked to help cross the road,

helped the generous touch…

Life goes on,

so he has too;

she is gone,

but not her touch…

  3. None other work in recent times has had such profound effect on me as this one.
    I don't know if it was your pure imagination or sad experience.
    But I can tell you, as someone who has gone through this EXACT thing, its very, very well written!
    Hats off to you!
